Candle Care
Candle Care
Every Vesper House candle is hand-poured in small batches using our coconut wax blend and thoughtfully layered fragrance oils.
A little care goes a long way in creating a cleaner burn, stronger fragrance throw, and a candle that lasts as beautifully as it was intended.
Before Each Burn
- Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before lighting.
- Remove any wick trimmings or debris from the wax surface.
- Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.
The First Burn
The first burn sets the memory of your candle.
Allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the tin before extinguishing the flame. This helps prevent tunneling and encourages an even burn for the life of the candle.
Burn Time
For best performance, burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time.
Allow the wax to cool and solidify completely before relighting.
When It’s Time to Say Goodbye
Discontinue use when approximately ¼ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container.
Extinguishing the Flame
A candle snuffer or wick dipper is the gentlest way to extinguish the flame.
If blowing out your candle, do so gently to minimize smoke and help keep the wick centered.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep away from drafts and flammable materials.
- The container will become hot during use.
About Our Wax
Because every Vesper House candle is hand-poured, slight variations in color, texture, or surface appearance are completely normal.
These natural characteristics are part of working with our coconut wax blend and are a hallmark of handcrafted candles—not a flaw. They will not affect the performance or fragrance of your candle.
