How does Vesper House work?
Vesper House releases fragrances through limited collections rather than maintaining a permanent catalog.
Each collection opens for a limited time. Most candles are hand-poured to order, then the collection closes until it returns—or a fragrance becomes part of House Batch.
This allows us to create in small batches, introduce new fragrances often, and give each candle the time it needs before leaving Vesper House.
What is House Batch?
House Batch is our permanent collection.
These are customer favorites kept cured, stocked, and ready to ship in limited quantities while seasonal collections come and go.
Because House Batch candles are already made and cured, they may ship sooner than made-to-order collection candles.
Are all fragrances permanent?
No.
Some collections return each year. Some fragrances become part of House Batch. Others may disappear for quite some time—or make an unexpected return later.
That’s part of the experience.
If you find one you love, don’t assume you’ll see it again anytime soon.
How long will my order take to ship?
Please allow approximately 3–5 weeks for made-to-order candles to ship.
Most Vesper House candles are hand-poured after you order rather than pulled from finished inventory.
Once poured, they’re given time to cure before being packaged and sent your way. That cure time allows the fragrance to develop and gives you a stronger, more even fragrance throw from the very first burn.
We know waiting for good mail is hard. We promise we aren’t just holding your candles hostage.
Can I burn my candle right away?
Absolutely.
Your candle has already been given time to cure before it leaves Vesper House, so it’s ready to enjoy when it arrives.
Like a good wine, fragrance can continue to deepen with time, so you may notice your candle becoming even richer over the following weeks.
What are your candles made from?
Every Vesper House candle is hand-poured using our coconut wax blend and premium fragrance oils.
We use cotton wicks and carefully develop each fragrance for a clean, even burn, excellent fragrance throw, and the kind of atmosphere that makes a room feel like somewhere else entirely.
Do you accept returns?
Because most Vesper House candles are poured specifically for your order, we cannot accept returns based on fragrance preference.
If your order arrives damaged or something isn’t right, please reach out. We’ll always do our best to make it right.
Can I request a fragrance to return?

Are your fragrances inspired by perfumes?
No.
Vesper House fragrances are inspired by places, memories, weather, architecture, seasons, and atmosphere—not designer perfumes.
We don’t begin with What perfume should this smell like?
We begin with things like:
What does an old house feel like after midnight?
What does a back road smell like at the end of August?
What would you smell standing on a porch just before a storm?
Then we build the fragrance from there.
